Jan 10 2010 - Field Information & Weekend Schedule Updated

The Field Info page has been updated with all the relevant details about the fields. There is also a video preview of what the fields look like for those who are curious as to what sort of condition the fields are in. Check it out!

A special custom SFKO Event Location map has been created and added to the Schedule and Field Info pages so you wil be able to see where everything is located and how to get there.

Don't forget the deadlines for completing registration payment, and for selecting/paying for any/all optional tourney packages are fast approaching as they are at the end of January and beginning of February!!

The SFKO 2010 tourney is now less than 40 days away! Anticipation is building for the tourney games and teams are starting to gear up for the trip. Tournament pool play brackets will be drawn and announced live on Kickball365.com's South Florida Kickball Open Tournament 2010 forum soon. Are you getting excited for SFKO 2010 yet? We sure are!

Dec 20 2009 - Field Location Revised and Torunamanet schedule updates

The new field location for the SFKO 2010 tournament is now official, and has been announced as Brian Piccolo Park. The Field Info page will be updated soon with directions and other pertinent details regarding the fields for the SFKO 2010 tournament.

The tournament weekend event schedule is now official as well. Check out the Schedule page for details on all the fun tourney weekend events.

Some transportation/party/t-shirt package deals have been put together for your convenience. You can choose the one or all of the options on the Registration page and find information about these packages on the registration page as well. Check them out! We are looking forward to seeing you all at the tournament come February!

Nov 07 2009 - Field Location Changed

The field location for SFKO 2010 has changed. The field will no longer be Mills Pond as it was for the 2009 tournament. The new field location is in the process of being secured and confirmed. The official announcement for the new field location will be posted soon. Follow us on Twitter or check back to this website later to find out when we announce the new fields.

Oct 19 2009 - Regristration for the SFKO 2010 is now open!!

You can now register your team to play in the SFKO 2010 tournament by clicking on the Registration link in the menu bar.

Oct 19 2009 - The new date for the 2010 Tournament has been changed!

The date of the 2010 South Florida Kickball Open tournament has changed! The SFKO 2010 tournament will now be held on Saturday February 20th 2010. Please take note of this date change.

Our previous date of Feb 13th, while being a 3 day weekend for some, was also Valentine's Day weekend and inconvenient for many people. We have changed the date so that more teams will be able to attend thereby making the SFKO a much bigger and better tournament for everyone in terms of number of teams from around the country being able to attend.

Sep 2 2009 - The new date for the 2010 Tournament has been announced!

It's official! Mark your calendars, because the 2010 South Florida Kickball Open tournament will be held on Saturday February 13th 2010!!!

Planning for the 2010 tournament is now underway. The fields have been secured and other details are currrently being worked out. As the weeks start to go by, this website will be updated with the tentative torunament weekend schedule and other pertinent details.

Registration will open in mid-late October 2009 for the 2010 SFKO. Make sure to check back for news updates as the registration date approaches. Announcements will also be made on kickball365.com (htp://www.kickball365.com).

In the meantime, start spreading the word! The 2010 SKFO promises to be even better than before! Hope to see you then!

Jan 12 2009 - Final Pool Play and Tourney Brackets and Schedule posted!

The bracket and schedule information for Pool Play and the Playoff Rounds have been posted on the Brackets page. Also, the Tourney Weekend Schedule page has also been updated with some new information.

A last minute change has occured with the fields. Due to a schedule shift by the Park authorities, we will no longer be playing on the main Multi-Purpose fields. The tournament games will now be played on the North Soccer field and the field nearest the park entrance. The mandatory 8:30 AM Captains meeting will be held on the North Soccer field.

Early registration/check-in will be at the host hotel (Hampton Inn downtown Ft. Lauderale) on Friday from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. You can also register/check in on the morning of the tournament, Saturday - at the field, Mills Pond Park. Come to the North Soccer Field to check in. FYI the North Soccer field is towards your right after you enter the park and come to the big circle with all the softball fields in the center. Check in is at 8 AM.

Oct 27 2008 - Hotel Deal agreement reached through WAVA

The Field information page has been updated, and so has the Hotel/Area info page. Please check them out for updated information.

Our friends at WAVA (www.gowava.com) have concluded negotiations with the Hampton Inn hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, and have secured a good deal for the SFKO 2009 tournament. Due to the perfect weather, January is peak season for Ft Lauderdale, and the holiday weekend (MLK Jr day) is especially busy. But WAVA kicked ass and got everyone a deal anyway!

The Hampton Inn's regular hotel rates for this time of year would normally run from $179-$199/night, but thanks to WAVA, we have a block of rooms at $159/night!

That rate is available for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully a lot of out-of-towners will be arriving on Thursday to check out some FL Beach teams in action, and to take part in a FL vs Everyone Else All-Star tournament! Then we party with the rest of the FL Beach division at their sponsor bar, Dicey Riley's, which is just a couple blocks from the host hotel.

Call Pilar Anderson at 954-624-3403 and say you are with the WAVA/Kickball Tournament group. If you can't reach her, the main line is 954-924-2700. (if you're staying Sunday night, you'll need to catch Pilar, but you can book Thu-Sat first)

Once we fill up our block of rooms, we can add more based on availability. But its better to book sooner than later to be on the safe side. So call today!

Oct 14 2008 - Experienced Refs Wanted

We are looking for experienced referees! If you have experience refing kickball games and are very familiar with WAKA's rules, we are looking for you! You will be compensated for your time spent helping us to ref the tournament games.

Oct 8 2008 - South Florida Kickball Open Tournament 2009 is Official!

The 2009 South Florida Kickball Open Tournament has been officially announced on Kickball365.com, and the response thus far from the kickball nation has been phenomenal! We have been getting many emails and there is much interest from some nationally-ranked teams who are planning on taking part in the tournament. Several local teams are making plans to participate as well. What I can tell you is that teams are already lining up for registration, which opens on October 20th 2008.

In the meantime, work is continuing on the website as we try to get all the information and other features up on the website. Check back on the page often for news updates.
